The Angel and the Rake is #118 in the Camfield series and was published in June 1993. Angela Brooke was considering taking up the offer of 1000 pounds to the young lady who would play an angel on the Marquis of Vauxhall's private stage! Not a genteel thing to do, but Angela was an orphan trying to restore her ancestral home.
Forlag's cover shows our couple in front of a massive fireplace standing in an embrace. I get the impression that our heroine is worried and the hero is comforting her. I like her Edwardian emerald green skirt and lacy blouse.
