Love Lifts the Curse is #91 in the Camfield series and was published in March 1991. Jacoba Ford is left penniless after the death of her father and takes a position as a companion to an elderly man in the Scottish Highlands. What she doesn't realize is that the post is a joke by one of the young Earl's relatives who had decreed that no woman will ever cross his threshold again. After one of his dogs bite her, she has to stay in the great castle to heal and the servants believe she has come to lift the curse!This cover by Forlag shows the heroine massaging the temple of the hero as he sits and recovers from his injuries. We see a stunning view of the loch. Our heroine is pretty in a sapphire dress trimmed with lace while the hero wears a dark robe. An ancestor in Scottish dress hangs on the wall behind.
