Beauty or Brains? is #92 in the Camfield series and was published in April 1991. Lavinia Vernon gets caught up in her friend Katherine's masquerade to become "Gaiety Girls" in order to attract the elusive Marquis of Sherwood's attention. When Lavinia does attract his attention, she begins to fear her own heart!
On this cover by Forlag, we see the Emerald Buddha, that the Marquis has acquired, being given back to the Lama from Tibet. Our couple seem mesmerized by the Buddha and judging by their attire, were wakened to see this! I think that the artist leans close to a "magna" look with the features of our couple, less defined and almost cartoon. What do you think?
